All Moms Are Welcome!

I have a very inclusive definition of mom. New moms. Pregnant moms. Moms of tantrum-throwing toddlers and eye-rolling teenagers. Moms with an empty nest. Happily and non-so-happily married moms. Single moms. Divorced moms. Biological moms. Step-moms. Adoptive moms. Foster moms. Teenage moms. Working moms. Stay-at-home moms. Moms who have lost a child. Moms who have had a miscarriage. Moms struggling to get pregnant. Anyone who considers themselves a mom for any reason.

Motherhood in all its shapes and forms brings a wide variety of experiences and emotions. I provide individual therapy to help women through depression, anxiety and stress during pregnancy and the postpartum period. This also includes women struggling to get pregnant, those that have experienced pregnancy loss, and those whose kids are far beyond the baby stage.

Being a mom is hard. And in today’s non-stop, always-connected world, the pressure to be perfect is at an all-time high, leaving women constantly judging themselves or worrying they are somehow going to fail their children. Therapy with me is not about how to be a better mom. It is not parenting advice or couples counseling. It is about finding ways to feel happier and calmer for yourself. It is time for you to focus on yourself and how you want your life to be different.
